The statuette depicts Icarus raising his arms for flight. It is made by traditional method, manually, of a brass cast, patinated to emphasize the nobility of the cast. The cast is embedded on a solid marble base in dark green. While holding it in one’s hand, one can feel a weight that emphasizes the importance of this award.
